Sales Support Executive

HOURS:                      37.5 per week (Mon – Fri)

REPORTS TO:           Head of Sales & Marketing

LOCATION:                Dunstable, Bedfordshire.

 

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Customers, third party manufacturers. National Account Managers, Purchasing Manager, Marketing Assistant and Head of Sales & Marketing. Work cross functionally with Dunstable teams and other Cafea Group sites.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE 

Provide assistance and support to the sales & marketing team, ensuring smooth sales operations and high customer satisfaction. This role is best suited to a recent graduate with one year’s work experience or newly graduated in a related degree subject.

  1. Support the sales team by responding to and following up on new customer enquiries which arrive via email or telephone.
  2. Manage a portfolio of small accounts to achieve set KPIs for volume and margin contribution.
  3. Be the main point of contact for market data and insight providers such as IGD and Kantar. Manage the business relationship and become the “go to” person within Cafea UK for market insight and market data.
  4. Create customer specific market insight presentations for use during business and category review meetings
  5. Organise customer and Cafea attendance at industry events including booking transportation and accommodation as required
  6. Support the Cafea UK NPD process to ensure new launches are as smooth as possible, especially the timely ordering of raw materials and new packaging requirements.
  7. Maintain sales related data bases, such as the grocery price check report and global coffee price index.
  8. Be an ambassador for the Cafea UK business within our customers and in the wider UK Grocery market

Be a key member of the Cafea UK Sales & Marketing team. Work collaboratively with peers from other parts of Cafea UK and the Cafea Group to ensure the growth and success of the business, including contributing ideas and sharing knowledge and experience.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

Educated to undergraduate level

    • Keen interest in a career in sales
    • Able to demonstrate experience of working to targets
    • Able to demonstrate good business understanding and financial acumen
    • PC literate with good Microsoft Office skills
    • Live within 20 miles or easy commutable distance of Dunstable

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a sales team
  • Experience of working with market data and insight
  • Experience of the UK Grocery or FMCG market
  • Experience of UK coffee market
