Collection of access data

Technically, we can only deliver contents to our website and display it appropriately, if we collect certain data. Whenever you access our website, so-called server log files are created, which are then collected by us or by the web space provider. These log files do not allow any conclusions to be made about yourself or your personal details. The relevant information comprises the name of the website you are visiting, the filename, the date, the data volume, your web browser and its version, your operating system, the domain name of your internet provider, the referral URL of the page from which you accessed our website and the relevant IP address. We use these data to display and deliver content, as well as for statistical purposes. This information supports us in the provision and continuous improvement of our website. We also reserve the right to check such files at a later stage if we suspect that our content might have been used illegitimately.

Personal data

When we collect personal data, we seek to ensure data reduction and data minimisation. We only collect data to the extent that and as long as those data are required for the use of our website, or as specified by law. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and we strictly adhere to the relevant statutory provisions and this Data Privacy Policy whenever we collect and process personal data. Your data will be locked or erased as soon as we don’t need them any more, or the statutory data retention period has come to an end. Our website can usually be used without the disclosure of personal data. When we collect personal data – e.g. your name, surface mail address or email address – we only do it if you want us to, i.e. with your consent. Unless we have received your express voluntary consent, we will not disclose your data to third parties. Please remember, however, that as a general rule, data cannot always be transmitted safely on the internet. In particular, the protection of data exchange in emails cannot be guaranteed.

Server log files

Server log files are anonymised data collected whenever you access our website. This information does not permit us to draw conclusions about yourself as a person. However, for technical reasons, it is indispensable for the delivery and display of our content. They also help us with our statistics and the ongoing optimisation of our website. Typical log files are the date and time of access, the data volume, the browser used for accessing our website, the browser version, your operating system, the domain name of your service provider, the page from which you reached our website (the referrer URL) and your IP address. Log files also permit accurate checking if we suspect that our website has been used for illegitimate purposes.
