Job Purpose

To provide Financial and Management accounts support to the Head of Finance.

Motivate, manage, train and develop team workers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Accounts payable
    • Master data maintenance
    • Invoice/payment processing
    • Creditors/inter-company reconciliations and reporting (aged creditors)
  1. Month-end close
    • Journal posting – accruals, prepayments, other
    • Balance sheet reconciliations
    • Assist with profit and loss review, balance sheet review and management accounts
  1. Year-end close
    • Journal posting – accruals, prepayments, other
    • Balance sheet reconciliations
    • Assist with profit and loss review, balance sheet review and management accounts
    • Assist with year-end financial audit and liaise with auditors
    • Assist with the preparation of the statutory financial statements
    • Assist with group year-end reporting
  1. Budgeting and adhoc reporting & analysis
    • Assist with the preparation of annual budgeting
    • Adhoc reporting and analysis
  1. Accounts receivable (cover only)
    • Master data maintenance
    • Credit management
    • Debtors reconciliations and reporting (aged debtors)
  1. Bank (cover only)
    • Updating of cashbooks
    • Posting bank entries to general ledger
    • Bank reconciliations
    • USD/Euro forward contract purchases

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a dynamic environment and should be part-qualified. Past roles they have demonstrated to be:

  • Experienced in Transactional and Financial & Management accounting
  • Experienced using SAP ERP and strong excel and Microsoft office skills
  • Excited by the idea of being a hands-on team player in a small team, working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Part qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA / ACA

Key Working Relationships

Work closely with the Finance team and cross functionally with other Dunstable teams; Supply Chain, Marketing, Technical, Sales and Operations.
